African Soul Retreat

Explore the magic and mystery of Africa at our rejuvenating African Soul Retreat.

Learn about sustainable living, visit a local lion sanctuary and experience elephants in the wild.

Reconnect and relax over 5 days in authentically wild Africa.

A very warm welcome awaits you at JOHANNESBURG’S O.R. TAMBO AIRPORT. Once all our guests have gathered, we enjoy a leisurely 2 hour drive to Chris and John’s delightful Country Estate in the Waterberg – one of South Africa’s best kept secrets, stopping en route at Bela Bela (previously Warmbaths) to shop.

At the Country Estate, after meeting our wonderful staff and, of course, our gorgeous Plato(Swiss Shepherd/ Golden Labrador doggie!) there’s a delicious fresh light lunch to savour before settling into your room. There’s then time to familiarise yourself with the layout of the estate, set on sub-terrain crystal caverns, after which you are invited to participate in an insightful introduction into Permaculture, the intuitive way – recognising how much it complements natural healing and health. Every evening relish a typical South African supper around a mesmerising camp fire and then in the morning wake up when you wish – except when an early outing has been planned.

Each day there’s many opportunities to indulge your spirit – exploring the delights of sustainable living – visiting the neighbouring lion sanctuary, also home to other orphaned predators – walking to your heart’s delight – observing Africa’s Ancient topography and endless beauty as you reconnect with your true Spirit – creating exquisite Soul Cards – forming magnificent Crystal Mandalas – going on an African Elephant Adventure – visiting a local African school – star gazing or appreciating some ‘Me-time’. After a delicious breakfast on our fourth morning, we return to Johannesburg’s OR Tambo airport. For those participating in the Magical Dolphin Safari we board our plane to fly to Durban.
